Secondary Packaging of Food Products and Palletizing of Boxes

This Siviko packaging machine and robot palletizing cells perform secondary packaging of food products and box palletizing. It can handle three package sizes: 0.10 kg, 0.25 kg, and 0.50 kg. However, the ingredients in those packages are dozens, such as beans, lentils, quinoa, etc. The process begins with an integrated box erector capable of handling two box sizes. The box erector can be adjusted for different sizes. The machine arranges the packages to fill a whole box at once. This happened on a specialized conveyor that can handle all sizes. The pre-arranged packages are pushed to the open box below. The boxes are then folded, glued, and closed. The last step is to palletize the full boxes with an industrial robot FANUC M10iD/10 L. It is outfitted with a customized vacuum gripper.

The palletizing robot can also handle more than 10 different types of boxes. All in all, this robot cell is very flexible, cost-efficient, and dependable. An ideal choice for high-mix, low-volume production.
Retrofit of Palletizing Robot with a New Double-Bag Gripper

We love designing and producing robot grippers, and we are really good at it. In this project, we retired an old double-bag gripper that had done millions of cycles. We retrofitted the old system with our brand new Siviko gripper. We have made the system more dependable and productive and have extended its lifecycle.
Roller Painting of Inductive Components by Robot

The robot cell has been tailored to perform the impregnation of inductive components using fast-drying varnish. This is the first time this manual production process has been automated. Our team invested significant effort into research and experimentation to ensure a stable process with high-quality output, short cycle times, and user-friendly operation. The main challenge was automating the application of varnish. We devised a custom system in which varnish application is carried out using a motorized, custom-made paint roller. This allowed us to paint only the four sides of the components with high precision.
